Mitch 0
This is my first hare, i have had a few hare snares out and was rather happy with my first result. It was only about as big as a rabbit cant wait to get some real big ones. You can see the run behind him and it was set on a nice beat about 7 1/2 - 8 ' high, Im getting the hang of this snaring and the more i do the easier i find it becomes. Really Enjoying it , Link to post

Really Enjoying it , That's a sad end for a wonderful sporting quarry, choking to death in a wire. Think of the run he could have given you with a longdog behind him, very, very sad. Link to post
woodga 170
er the forum is called snaring and trapping which is legal is it not, and coursing with a dog is not a legal pastime now or so i beleive now if you dont like seeing snared hares rabbits or foxes dont read the snaring forum each to there own eh Link to post
robsharpe 1
as the name says on the door snaring and trapping ,some areas have to be controlled due to the numbers and the ban and snaring is a legal and effective way to control them , yes mitch theres a lot of people owe a lot to woodga for sharing his knowledge and pointing them in the right direction giving them free wires and his time top bloke Link to post
Snake Dr. 0
You got that right Woodga, Nightwalker you aint against Snaring/Trapping=ANTI are ya ? Link to post
Guest Studentsnaresman
Are hare snares constructed any differant to rabbit snares or just bigger? Regarding Nightwalkers input. I think, if he himself were chasing after the hare it could be called sport. However what these snarers are trying to acheive is skill and an increasing knowlegde of the quarry, which is something only his dog has! This is just my opinion. woodga 170
hare and rabbit snares are the same the only difference is in the setting hight for your loop between 8 to 10 inches to the under side of the wire will cover most situations Link to post

And legal or not snaring is a poor end for a hare or any other animal for that matter You got that right Woodga, Nightwalker you aint against Snaring/Trapping=ANTI are ya ? I'm against snaring not humane trapping, I have Fenn's, Kania's and Bodygrips set as we speak. Link to post
